MMSO Rules and Guidelines for Instructors
By logging in to the MMSO platform as an Instructor, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all rules and guidelines below. These apply to you directly and cannot be modified by your Centre.
1. Your Role on MMSO
You are an Instructor registered under a Centre that holds a valid partnership agreement with MMSO. You teach Courses on the MMSO platform under that Centre's management.
MMSO is the platform operator. MMSO is not your employer and does not control your salary, working hours, or employment conditions. Those matters are governed by your separate agreement with your Centre.
2. MMSO Platform Service Fee
You acknowledge that MMSO deducts a Platform Service Fee from all Course and Chapter sales revenue before that revenue reaches your Centre. The fee varies by your Centre's subscription plan:
Free Plan
- General Courses: 10%
- Medical Courses: 32%
Pro Plan
- General Courses: 6%
- Medical Courses: 28%
Business Plan
- General Courses: 4%
- Medical Courses: 25%
Your own earnings from your Centre are calculated after this fee is deducted. This fee structure is set by MMSO and cannot be changed by the Centre or by you.
3. Pre-Agreed Marketing Discount
You acknowledge and agree that MMSO applies a pre-agreed 20% marketing discount to all Courses on the platform for promotional purposes. You accept this discount in advance.
If a discount exceeding 20% is applied to your Courses, your explicit consent is required. If a discount beyond 20% is applied without your consent, the party that applied it is responsible for compensating you for the revenue difference.
The maximum discount that may be applied to any of your Courses is 80%. After any discount, the final price must not fall below 20,000 MMK.
4. Teaching Responsibilities

5-4. Content Relevance
All content you upload must be directly relevant to the Course it belongs to. MMSO and your Centre reserve the right to request removal of content that does not meet quality standards.
6. Copyright
6-1. Your Content
Content that you create and upload to MMSO (Video Lecture files, Quiz files, Resource files) is copyrighted by you, the Instructor.
6-2. Centre-Filmed Content
For content that your Centre has produced or filmed on your behalf, you hold the Copyright and your Centre holds the Related Rights. Under Related Rights, such content may continue to be sold on MMSO for up to 4 years after your partnership with the Centre ends. Revenue from such sales will continue to be remitted to you by the Centre in the normal manner.
6-3. Third-Party Copyright
All content you upload must be original content that you own the copyright to. You must not upload content copyrighted by any other individual, institution, or organization without their explicit written permission.
If you use textbooks, articles, or other reference materials in your teaching, you must cite the source as a Reference. You must not screen-share full copyrighted textbooks or upload full copyrighted eBooks.
If MMSO confirms that you have used another party's copyrighted content without authorization, that content will be immediately removed from the platform.
6-4. After Leaving a Centre
- Content you created under that Centre will be moved to Disabled state and may no longer be sold to new Students
- Students who already purchased your content retain access until their access periods expire
- You may not reuse or re-upload content created under a Centre to another Centre without that Centre's written permission
- Your obligation to support existing Students (Discussion responses, Assignment grading) continues until all Student access periods expire
7. Student Data and Privacy
You may only access the following Student data through the MMSO platform:
- Course progress percentage — View Only
- Quiz marks and results — View Only
- Assignment submissions — View and Grade
- LIVE Session attendance — View Only
- Discussion Forum messages — View and Reply
You may not access Student personal data including phone numbers, email addresses, payment information, or any profile data beyond what is visible in the Discussion Forum and Assignment sections.
You may not contact Students directly. All Student communication must go through your Centre.
You must keep all Student data you encounter on the platform strictly confidential and must not share it with any third party. This obligation continues after you leave the platform.
8. Student Device Limit
The MMSO platform enforces a maximum of 2 active devices per Student account. MMSO and your Centre manage this control — you are not responsible for enforcing it, but you must not assist any Student in circumventing it.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Upload content that violates any applicable law
- Use another person's or organization's copyrighted content without authorization
- Record, photograph, or capture video or audio of LIVE Session participants under 16 years of age
- Share Student personal data with any third party
- Publish MMSO-hosted content simultaneously on other platforms including Telegram, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Google Drive, Google Classroom, websites, or any other platform
- Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or the content of any Course
- Engage in any behavior that damages the reputation of MMSO or your Centre
- Violate any applicable law in the course of your teaching activities on the platform
If content you upload is also published on insecure or public platforms and a data leak occurs as a result, MMSO and your Centre bear no responsibility for that leak.
10. Content Security
MMSO protects Course content through token-bound encryption and by blocking screen recording and screen sharing on the platform. However, MMSO cannot prevent a Student from recording the screen using a separate physical device.
If unauthorized content distribution occurs, MMSO will assist in identifying the responsible party through the on-screen Student ID and will support legal action. Legal costs are not borne by MMSO.
11. Your Liability
11-1. Course Completion Obligation
If at least one Student has purchased a Course, you agree to complete all Chapters, Content, and LIVE Sessions for that Course in full — regardless of whether your agreement with your Centre continues.
11-2. Compensation for Failure to Complete
If you fail to complete a Course that Students have purchased, you agree that affected Students must be compensated the full purchase price of that Course. The responsibility for this compensation is between you and your Centre as defined in your Centre–Instructor Agreement.
12. Pricing Rules
- Course prices must be fair and reasonable for Students
- The price of a Course on MMSO must not differ from its price on any other platform by more than 20%
- The maximum discount that may be applied is 80%
- After any discount, the final price must not fall below 20,000 MMK
- You accept the pre-agreed 20% MMSO marketing discount in advance
- Discounts exceeding 20% require your explicit consent
13. MMSO's Responsibilities to You
MMSO is responsible for:
- Operating platform features correctly — Course creation, video playback, Quiz functionality, LIVE Session access, and Resource access — to a reasonable operational standard
- Ensuring Students can access purchased Courses for the full duration of their access period
- Making best efforts to resolve platform technical issues within 24 hours, except in cases beyond MMSO's control including nationwide power or internet outages, global server outages, natural disasters, company insolvency, and third-party service provider failures such as AWS, Vimeo, Firebase, and Stripe
- Protecting Centre and Instructor data from unauthorized access — only MMSO admin and development teams and authorized third-party service providers may access platform data
- Compensating affected Students and Centres if content or data is lost or corrupted through no fault of the Centre or Instructor
MMSO does not guarantee that the platform will be perfect or satisfy every user in every situation. MMSO is not liable for data leaks caused by content being simultaneously published on insecure external platforms.
14. Course Removal for No Sales
If a published Course has no buyers within 12 months from the date it was first listed for sale on MMSO, MMSO reserves the right to permanently remove the Course and its Content. Removed content may not be re-uploaded.
15. Refund Policy
No refunds will be issued to Students for purchased Courses unless the Course contains an error attributable to MMSO, the Centre, or the Instructor that prevents the Student from accessing the content.
By logging in to the MMSO platform as an Instructor, you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to all rules and guidelines above.
